Tomorrow's Writing Session (Tuesday)

Tomorrow we will be looking at reading and writing recipes. A lot of you have chosen to make an Asian dish for your Blooms Taxonomy unit. If you have a recipe that you are thinking about making bring it along. You might want to use your recipe during the lesson instead of the one that I'm going to provide for you.

We won't be cooking! We are just looking at the literacy side of it. If you have already made your dish you could bring along the recipe you used.

See you tomorrow!

Hi everyone. I have just got back from Vietnam today. I have had trouble getting on the internet most of the time I was away so I apologise for not approving your comments faster. This photo was taken in a village near a place called Sapa up near the China/Vietnam boarder. The lady on the left is my sister and the girl in the middle was our guide through the mountains. We went on a two day trek. It was awesome.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow :)

Vietnam and school holidays

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to clear the comments for a while. It has been harder than I thought to get onto the internet here in Vietnam. I have been to the most beautiful place I have ever visited called Halong Bay. I slept one night on a boat and one night in a bungalow where the sea water lapped underneath the floorboards. I have also been to Hanoi. Now I am in Sapa which is away up in the mountains. I traveled here in a sleeper train. I slept in a tiny wee cabin with three other ladies. I didn't like that very much. I have seen so many interesting people and places.

keep posting your comments to let us know what you are up to and read other people's comments. It was great that Chanelle's cousins have made comments.

See you soon.  Go the All Blacks!!!
I miss you!!!

Day 2 Year 5&6 Camp

"Staying at the lodge is the best part so far. It is really big and fun. It is fun to be at and be with your friends," Joe

"Spending time with my your friends and doing things every day is the best part." Anna Room 3

"I liked going up Devil's Punch Bowl because it was really cool. There were heaps of steps and it was fun to go up." Cameron Room 3

"I like going up and seeing the old power station because I haven't an old power station before. People stole metal and iron from it." Bailey Room 3

"I like doing the Sensory Trail because I like walking up blind folded with the ropes and smashing into the rocks. Kerry said there were big cliffs, mud puddles and creeks and all that. There was a creek! I liked it because it felt like it took ages but when you went back through it it only took five minutes." Levi

"The Sensory Trail was the best bit because I didn't know where I was going. Ended up up a big hill." Nathan

"My favourite bit was the sensory trail because you never know where you are going and there are big ditches and being blinded." Jackson

"The trail that you couldn't see was fun because you couldn't see anything and when there was a big ditch you thought you were going to fall down but you didn't." Denzel Room 3

"My favourite bit was when you had to make the stretchers and had to find Jazmin A in the bush and then my least favourite part was the Sensory Trail because I  hate being blindfolded. I was bawling my eyes out." Jazmine Room 3

"My favourite part was when we made the stretchers because I had to go in the bush and everyone else had to come and find me. It is the best camp ever." Jazmin Room 3

Year 5 & 6 Camp

I'm sitting here with Katie, Chanelle and Jake. Everyone is doing their camp diaries.

"We have done river crossing. It was really, really cold. We walked up 300 steps to see the Devil's Punch Bowl." Chanelle.

"We went up to the Devil's Punch Bowl. The waterfall was amazing. We had big steps and there were heaps and heaps and heaps. We got sore legs." Katie

"On the way here it was a long way. A really, really long way and longer than in the car because the bus was slow. We had milo. It was really, really nice. My legs were really, really cold from crossing the river." Jake

I have forgotten to bring my USB cord so I can't put the photos on :(
