Sari in Sri Lanka

Mrs Sen came to our class to teach us about how to wear a sari and talk about the types of clothing women wear in Sri Lanka. She kindly showed us her jewellery and talked to us about her home country. She showed us how her mother wore her sari which is different to the Indian sari style. She asked Cliantha to model it.

Hi

There is an update on William under the post "Tuesday's Writing". The photos are great. It is good to hear that William is on the mend. What a huge operation. We look forward to more updates.

Book Character Day

Today our whole school is celebrating books and reading by having a book character day. Almost everyone in the school dressed up as a character from a book. In Room 5 we have been sharing our favourite quotes from books we have read and giving short book reviews to the class. It has been a really enjoyable day. We haven't done a lot of work on our Unit on Asia but we will work extra hard on Monday.
