Welcome to Room 5's Blog
Room 5 is a Year 6 & 7 class at St Patrick's School in Greymouth, New Zealand.
We are using this blog as a space to share our learning and to keep in touch with each other over the weekend.

I am making chicken curry to night.

1 cup of sushi rice
1/2 cooked chicken breast
carrot
nori sheet
method
Cook rice in a rice cooker,once cooked let rice cool down.
Cut cooked chicken into thin strips.
Slice carrots into thin sticks.
Place Nori sheet on Sushi rolling mat.
Cover Nori with a even layer of rice .
Place chicken and carrot in a line down the centre of rice.
Lift edge of rolling mat and roll mat to make sushi roll.
Cut sushi roll in to bite size pieces.
Serve with soy sauce
It tasted yuck but I still made it how it supposed to be.I like the rice,chicken and carrot but not the nori on the outside.

Indgredients:
125g All purpose flour
125g Caster sugar
1/4 t Salt
30g Ground ginger
5g Ground cinnamon
60g Butter
1 Small egg
15ml Dark corn syrp or Golden syrp
2.5g Baking soda
Method:
.Pre heat oven to 325C/170F.
.Sift flour,sugar,baking soda and salt in a bowl
.Add ginger and cinnamon.Work butter in with hands untill texture of bread crums.
.Beat the golden or corn syrup and egg together gradugly add to the flour mix to form dough
. Form into small ball and place well apart onto greased tray with cooking paper.
. Bake until crispy golden.

Jessie and I made Sweet abd Sour Stir fry (Fish)

2 Cups of fish
Brocoli)
Carrot's) approx 2 cups all together.
Beans)
Capsicum)
Coliflour)
Little oil
Method:
-Brown fish in oil and add vegetables.
-Cook for 5 minutes and add sweet and sour sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.
-Serve on rice
