Room 5, remember some important internet safety rules when using this site (and others): never give your full name, never give your phone number, address or email details, don't mention where you will be at a particular time, don't put any of that information on the net about anyone else, think carefully if you respond to anyone else's comments because they can't hear your tone of voice, do not call people names or put them down
Welcome to Room 5's Blog
Room 5 is a Year 6 & 7 class at St Patrick's School in Greymouth, New Zealand.
We are using this blog as a space to share our learning and to keep in touch with each other over the weekend.

1 kg of chicken pieces
2 large onions
5 cloves garlic
2.5cm 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 black cardamoms
4 cloves
5 cm 2 inch stick cinnamon
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon coriander ground
1 teaspoon cummin ground
3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon chilli
water or light chicken stock
salt
black pepper
1 teaspoon of garam masala
2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh criander leaves
lemon juice
METHOD
Cut chicken pieces into 5 cm 2 inch cubes.Thinly slice onions and garlic and shred ginger.Heat unsalted butter and fry onions until soft.Add garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute then put in chicken pieces and fry until well coloured.Add all the spices and stir on moderate heat for 5 minutes.Add enough water or light chicken stock to just cover.Bring to a boil and simmer until chicken very tender and liquid almost evaporated.Add salt and pepper to taste and pour water or chicken stock to just cover.Simmer for a further 20 minutes then sprinkle in garam masala coriander leaves and add lemon juice to taste its is for India.

ReplyDeleteMegan and I have just made yummy rice balls!! They taste really good and are really easy to make!
Ingredients:
Short grain rice!
Sushi seasoning
Boneless chicken breast
Teriyakl marinade
Method:
First, we cooked the rice.
Then we diced the raw chicken and marinaded it in a frying pan
After the rice was cooked we left it to cool
Next we added the Sushi seasoning to the rice to make is stick together more.
Then we took the rice and made a half cup on the palm of our hand.
After that we put afew peices of chicken into the middle and then added more rice to the top to make it into a ball!
YAY WE MADE RICE BALLS!!!
