We are learning to write about a short space of time.
We will know we can do this when:
- we have written about no more than seven minutes of a personal experience
- included adjectives to describe feelings, tastes, smells and what we see
- described our thoughts and emotions.

Room 5, remember some important internet safety rules when using this site (and others): never give your full name, never give your phone number, address or email details, don't mention where you will be at a particular time, don't put any of that information on the net about anyone else, think carefully if you respond to anyone else's comments because they can't hear your tone of voice, do not call people names or put them down

Not knowing Jordan was going to drift the trailer into a prickle bush I was sitting down on the hay watching the cows that trot along behind that delicious hat. Just then the trailer drifted into a gorse bush. My heart missed a beat. There were prickles everywhere. In my hair, on my legs and in my gumboots. It hurt. My body shut down for a second. The trailer went over an unexpected bump and I fell off the hay and landed on some thorns. OUCH!!! I was in terrible pain.
ReplyDelete"Oh my goodness! AAAhhhh!!! Whooo! That was AWESOME. That was super fun. Fast and scary."
ReplyDelete"Are you going up again?"
"Ok. Aaahhh! That was fun and scary. I love my toboggan."
We saw a little kid. Mum asked, "Would you like a go?"
"Ok," said the kid.
"WEEEE."
Me and the kid had a great time up and down we went.
"And now it is time to go. One more go ok?" said mum.
It was a cold snowy morning. Suddenly from nowhere a bird jumped in front of me flapping it's wings towards me like it was going to bite me. I was so terrified that I ran screaming and turning my head backwards to see if the bird was chasing me. I felt like my heart stopped beating. Boom! I hit the ground biting my tongue.
ReplyDelete"Aww," I cried inside. My bottom was really sore. It was so embarrassing because people were laughing at me. I ran away to hide in my car saying to never stop there again.
Tom breaks through the Suburbs line of defense covering metres in record time. He gets tackled to the ground with a thud. He plays the ball back to Michael. Michael pops the ball up to Matthew. Matthew spins the ball out wide to me. I start to run. I build up speed as I go. One defender sprints at me. i fend him off with an almighty shove. He falls to the ground with a crash. The wind blows my hair as I run towards the try line. More people run at me to try to get me around the legs. I run over the try line with joy. I place the ball down. The supporters cheer with delight. My team mates pat me on the back. We walk back towards half way.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes almost popped out of their sockets when I looked outside. Snow covered the ground. My eyes looked at the cold slippery snow thinking will it snow again? Looking at the snow made me feel happy and emotional.
ReplyDeleteIn the car going to Hokitika for a party. Once we got there we sang Happy Birthday to our friends. After we sing Happy Birthday we pray we ate the food. The foods are prawn, dried noodles, chicken legs, spaghetti, ice cream, custard and cake. I ate my food and I played with the little kids. We played tag with them. We were running around the house, the other kids were a little bit confused. My cousin and I watched a movie. I told him, "We should watch Tom and Jerry." Then he said, "Yeah man! I love that movie. I always watch that."
ReplyDeleteAfter we watched Tom and Jerry and after the party we went home to sleep. 11.59. We leave Hokitika at 11.20. I got a headache when I got home.
I forze. An enormous grin crept across my face. I found myself drooling, literally, over the picture of a dark red dragons and a gothic elf sitting on it's bulky shoulders. I tore it open and chose all the best things from teh contents page after reading the editor's page. I read the one I thought was the longest and crammed my mind with info about army lists and scenarios. My mind was a black hole to the information. The eleven new models and new expansion plus, two new scenery. My mind became a maelstrom of inspiration and pictures at my dream force.
ReplyDeleteA rush of cold air ran up my spine. the mist looked like it was shielding something in the distance right across the horizon. As we edged closer the mist cleared a bit and the shape of a gigantic mountain emerged that was blanketed with snow. It was like a creaseless white bed sheet just lying there on the top of the mountain.
ReplyDeleteI started walking then BANG I hit the clear glass door and then THUD I hit the hard concrete floor. So many thoughts went through my head. Why did they close the door? Why did I not notice the door? Why was I distracted? I got up and put my hand on my sore head and walked into the house.
